Kokeb Ashame Baje currently leads the Corporate and SME Banking Office at Addis Bank S.C., overseeing international banking, credit, and relationship management operations. She began her tenure at the bank as Director of the International Banking Department, where she successfully managed trade finance, foreign fund management, and financial institution relationships for 14 years.

Prior to joining Addis Bank, she served as Manager of Clearing House Operations at the Ethiopia Commodity Exchange, leading the clearing and settlement of daily trades. Earlier in her career, she gained extensive experience at the National Bank of Ethiopia (NBE), specializing in foreign exchange control (import/export), inter-bank foreign exchange market operations, and internal audit. Kokeb is a certified CIA and CFSA professional with an MSc in a relevant field. She previously served as Vice President and board member of the Institute of Internal Auditors (IIA) – Ethiopia.

She is passionate about corporate governance, risk management, and financial inclusion, and is eager to contribute her strategic insight and leadership as a board member in privately owned institutions.
