Financial sector education, a new chapter for Ethiopia: ESX Academy Launches with FSD Ethiopia’s Support
Addis Ababa, Ethiopia – The Ethiopian Securities Exchange (ESX) is proud to announce the launch of the ESX Academy, a groundbreaking initiative designed to advance investor education, financial literacy, and capacity building of market participants in Ethiopia’s capital market. Supported by the Financial Sector Deepening Ethiopia (FSDE) and developed in partnership with Miella Technology PLC, the Academy aims to enhance investor education, foster financial literacy, and build capacity within the market. The Academy’s launch coincides with ESX’s upcoming market launch next month, marking a key milestone in the company’s efforts to expand learning and trading opportunities.
FSD Ethiopia’s Support for ESX Academy FSDE’s support has been instrumental in establishing the Academy, enabling ESX to onboard a consultancy firm for the development of a state-of-the-art digital learning platform and collaborate with subject matter experts to create comprehensive course modules. The initiative also includes the production of engaging, module content, course videos, quizzes, and the implementation of a learning management system to deliver flexible, self-paced training.
This digital-first approach ensures that participants, ranging from students to industry professionals, can gain fundamental knowledge about capital markets in a convenient and accessible manner.
About ESX Academy The Academy is designed to uphold ESX’s commitment to providing structured and continuous education on capital market concepts by offering a comprehensive range of courses that cater to various levels of expertise. With a focus on both foundational knowledge and advanced strategies, the ESX Academy ensures that learners can develop a deep understanding of the financial markets. The courses are organized into three levels—Beginner, Intermediate, and Advanced—allowing learners to progress at their own pace and according to their individual expertise.
