Helina Asamenew is a seasoned banking professional with over twelve years of progressive experience in the financial sector. She began her career in banking from a junior role and steadily advanced through the ranks, gaining hands-on expertise in customer service, business management, and branch operations. Her journey progressed to, her appointment as Branch Manager of a Grade III branch of Commercial Bank of Ethiopia (CBE), where she successfully led teams, drove business growth, and delivered exceptional service outcomes.

Currently, Helina serves as Executive Manager at EthSwitch S.C., the national switch of Ethiopia, where she supports the CEO’s office in driving strategic priorities, overseeing operations, and facilitating high-level engagements with key stakeholders. In this capacity, she plays a crucial role in providing high-level administrative and organizational support, acting as a vital link between the CEO, staff, stakeholders, and external partners.

Her role uniquely combines leadership, operational excellence, and a passion for advancing Ethiopia’s digital financial ecosystem. Helina holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration and Information Systems and a Master’s degree in Human Resource Management, both from the Addis Ababa University College of Commerce.
